What happened in May?

Beulah was so happy to see Ken and Vicky Thompson for a little visit before they went on their way to the next revival meeting.  I was glad to extend my visit with them too!
Emily and Elizabeth found some pretty places May 2 to take pictures.
We enjoyed all the Redbud trees blooming in early May!
On May 5, Elizabeth and Emily had a baby shower to go to in the afternoon, so Danette went on a walk with us at Eden Park.
We saw this strange sight of a tree growing out of the top of a tower!!

May 8 we had a Sisters' Meeting at LaRosa Pizza.  One of the servers took this photo of all the ladies who came and enjoyed fellowship that evening.
Emily and I had this picture with Sherilyn because they were wearing anchors, and I had ropes.  So we had a nautical theme going...
On May 9, Wilson Stroud graduated from Kindergarten.  The Strouds did a little ceremony for him after Prayer Meeting.

Afterwards we had yummy cake and ice cream in the parking lot.
Wilson is such a fine young man and a blessing to the church and his family!
Mother's Day weekend, Elizabeth was babysitting the Witt children, so she missed out on the "official, before church" Mother's Day photoshoot.

The mothers all sang the special song at church that morning
and were presented with dahlias or geraniums, our choice.
We had the Witt children, Anna, Danette, and Kendra for dinner
with Lesa's Chicken Stories read aloud afterwards.
The next day, we girls dressed alike for an unofficial late Mother's Day selfie.
Beulah and I sort of matched one day in May.
Our deck garden growing on May 15.
That evening, we went to the SWSE concert at GBSC and snatched another late Mother's Day picture with Jason in front of his apartment building.
 Emily playing during the concert.
Mr. H directing the concert.  Everybody did really well and it was very enjoyable.
 Danette and her cello
 The violin section
Emily and her "stand partner" Ms. V.  It was always a good day in SWSE class
when Ms. V was there!
May 16, Baptismal service.  So glad to spend time with our friend, Merilee Barnard, who graduated on May 19 from GBSC.
Following the Candlelight part of service after the baptisms.
Our friend from Colorado, Susan Owensby, extended her business trip to Ohio to come and see us on May 18.  We were anxious to show her where our kids go to college, so she went to the Friday evening service of GBS Commissioning Weekend with us.  On Saturday, Susan and Janet went to the Creation Museum for the morning, then had lunch together before she headed back to Colorado.  Somehow we missed getting a picture with her, or lost it if we did.  It was so good to see Susan again and catch up on some of her fun stories.  We will be sure to get some pictures next time she comes!

May 20, Diane and Kaden were over for Sunday dinner.  His daddy was on guard duty that weekend. Kaden was fascinated with our cork coasters.
I spent most of the day with my dear sister-in-love, Becky Profitt on May 21.
She and Ron gifted me this conch shell nightlight that Ron made from a shell he
found in Grand Cayman when they lived there.
Bev Warning and her children were our Sunday guests on May 27.  They are in our Care n Connect group this quarter.
That evening Anna Winter's family was at church, so we had them over for a meal after church.  They were looking at Emily's photography notebook and loving her pictures.
We've enjoyed having Anna as one of our girls this year, so we were happy to meet her family.
