We started out February by having Tom and Barb Szabo over for Sunday dinner. They are in our Care and Connect group at church. Caleb, Jimmy, and Danette were also over.
Some of us actually had a walk that afternoon. It's been hard to find non-rainy days to have a walk this winter.
The Harms children sang a special song for church. Their daddy was playing the guitar and directing them. They kept their eyes on him and did a good job.
The next Sunday, we had Rebecca and Kashleigh over for Sunday afternoon.
Elizabeth hurt her foot really bad while playing Hide and Seek with Kashleigh. She missed church in the pm and school the next day because of the pain. Janet brought home crutches from the nurse's office for her to use on Tuesday. Here she is bravely practicing stairs before having to do all the stairs at school the next day.
(Ice, rest, ibuprofen helped and then she got some orthotics and new supportive shoes. It took a couple weeks, but her feet have adjusted and the injured one is all better now.)
February 16, we had Caleb, Danette, Audrey Yoder, Lori Yoder, and Brooke Johnstone over for Sunday dinner. Audrey is Janet's student worker for Constituent Relations Department.
We were given a brand new, but slightly-damaged-in-the-box desk. Elizabeth has cheerfully used a white table for a desk ever since we moved to Kentucky. She is enjoying the new desk.
When the choir went on tour, February 20-24, Danette, Gaby and Abi stayed with us from February 19-23. The 20th-21st were study days, without classes. The girls used the basement as their study hall.
The 21st was Sister Joyce Cooper's 70th birthday and her sweet husband threw a party for her at the church fellowship hall. Rowen had a cold, so he didn't go, but we girls and our adopted three girls went and had a blessed time.

The decorations were cute.
Marvin made a little speech.
Emily with Levi Wilson; he is getting so grown up already!
The cakes table
Seventy!
Our table. We were sitting with Retha, who turned 70 about 12 hours later than Joyce. Some people brought her cards and presents too.
Joyce and Marvin Cooper are such a blessing in our church.
Joyce with the cakes
Joyce lives with pain every day, but she always has a smile and kind, wise words.

When we got home, we had to catch up on the family WhatsApp pictures that came while we were away from WiFi.
On Saturday evening, Jimmy came over for supper and we watched our new DVD movie Overcomer. It was really good and had such a clear salvation message. Jimmy did not want his face in the picture.
Marshall holding his baby sister Ellisyn in church the next day.
Everybody being relaxed on Sunday afternoon.
We took pictures of our girls in the yard.
Gaby wanted a picture of all of us with her instant print camera. We were waiting for it to develop.
That evening all the young people and kids who were there came up to the front so Brother Lonnie Witt could pray for them.
Emma Wilson, Alexa Arender, and Eliana Wilson sang a special song.
All the young people who had gone to Central Pennsylvania Youth Conference spoke in the service.
On February 25th, our friend Merilee Barnard had supper with us and then Elizabeth took her to the airport for her flight. She came back through a week later and Janet picked her up at the airport. It was fun to catch up with her and hear her stories.
On February 28, Elizabeth and Emily helped with the Taco Party for the kids at church, and Jason and Karen came over and played dominoes with Rowen and Janet.
We played Chicken Foot dominoes and had a fun visit.
This picture was to make up for a really sour (unposed) picture that was taken unbeknownst to us!
Rowen did a great job finishing up the cabinets in our kitchen with edging and quarter round that the ones who flipped this house had left undone.
It's nice to have the edges finished.
There's always more to do in an older home like ours is.
February was short, but longer than usual. Be sure and look at Emily's blog to see what she and Elizabeth did without us!
