September 1 was a Sunday. We had Tim Sedlacek over because he was in our Care and Connect group at church. Brittany Stamper and Abby Stetler came over because they were together while Brittany's family was out of town. Caleb, Jimmy, and Danette came, because, they're our adopted kids. We had a nice visit over dinner.
The next day was Labor Day. We were off school and work, so we invited the Harms family, Jason and Karen, and Caleb, Jimmy, and Melanie Hilling over for a picnic. The Harms children enjoyed playing with Emily.
They made this neat car/truck rainbow!
We taught Melanie, Steve, and Korin how to play Mancala.

Toward evening, I went to visit Beulah at her daughter's house. I was thankful that she still remembered me.
We had Beth McIntosh as guest at our house during half of September.
The second Sunday was Revival at GBS, so we ate at the cafeteria. But we came home in the afternoon for the Nursing Home service. Afterwards, we had Regina Stetler and
Renae Weddle come over so they could see our house and we could give Regina a small birthday gift.
The girls matching on a Tuesday or Thursday non-dress up day at school. They were in Janet's office for this picture!
Our son, Tim had a conference in Indianapolis in September. He flew into CVG airport close to us, rented a car, and then drove to Indy. But first he stopped by GBS and ate lunch with us.
After the 2 day conference, he came to our house and spent the evening and night with us before heading back to the airport.
We were thankful to get to spend a little time with him and he got to see our house.
We love the oval rug God provided for our living room!
September 15, another Sunday with guests. Steve and Korin and Daniel came over. The triplets and their big brother were at their PA grandparents. Jimmy loves to make Daniel laugh!
We also had Rebecca Bennett (between Janet and Elizabeth) and Sarah Watson over this Sunday, besides Caleb, Jimmy, and Danette.
In the afternoon, the girls played Jotto. The books were to keep others from seeing their secret word.
Monday night was Sisters' Meeting at church. During the devotional, Regina had 8 ladies come and stand around the piano. We all had a bell and were arranged lined up as an octave of bell sounds. She played the piano and nodded to each one of us when we were to ring our bell. We had to stay close, focused and obedient for the song to turn out right. It was an example of how we need to walk with Jesus, staying close, paying attention to His direction, and obeying Him instantly!
We all painted wooden pumpkins, but for awhile Regina and I held babies so their mommies could paint.
Beth McIntosh had her 21st birthday on September 21 while she was staying with us. We had a picnic and cake and sang all of our birthday songs to her.
She is a sweet friend and we are glad we got to know her better.
September 22, we had several GBS kids and one of the church bus kids over for dinner. In the afternoon, Kashleigh wanted to play church. She had a great time telling a Bible Story with the flannelgraph figures.
Before dinner, we were waiting around for the Bus workers to get home.
Next to Janet is Samuel Epp, Audrey Yoder (Janet's student worker), Lori Yoder, Austin Paulus, Elizabeth, Kashleigh, Anthony Paulus (one of the Phonathon callers Janet supervises), Danette, Jimmy, and Caleb. Emily was taking the picture. Since the table was full, she ate at the island and refilled drinks for everybody.
After the other GBSers left and Elizabeth, Danette, and Emily were playing with Kashleigh downstairs, Caleb, Rowen, and Janet played Quirkle. Jimmy had a nap.
The next week, our blinds came in and Rowen got them installed!
They can either go top down, or bottom up. This is in the girls' room.

Elizabeth had a birthday and turned 26 on the 26th!
We went to Sarah Dickinson's graduation party near Pebbles, Ohio.
We got our Rocky Mountain National Park puzzle framed!
It is in the stairway going downstairs.
We got these blouses alike for Elizabeth's birthday.
On the 29th, we had the Loper family over for dinner. They were also in our Care and Connect group and we finally had them over. Rodney Loper is the president of GBS. His wife is Melissa. Their girls are Breanna and Brooklyn. Scott and Colton are their sons. Scott was gone singing with his quartet that Sunday, so he wasn't here.
A September picture of our newest granddaughter, Mandylyn.
